Our Dad, Charles Clendenning, passed away on July 6, 2009 and was buried in Riverside’s National Cemetry, Riverside California. His days on the USS McGowan always remained dear to him… right up to the day he left us. Dad married Doris Mae Bowers from East Liverpool Ohio, their hometown, in 1944. They were married for 65 years. Dad… we’ll all miss you, love. Your Family, 3 children, 9 Grand children, 23 Great-Grand children and 2 Great-Great-Grand-children.
